No one has
yet understood that how, when and where an end of life will come; but through
this prayer, we can demand and visualize the ideal state of our last time –
‘The End’. Here in this Prayer the poet ‘Brahmanand’ explains the ideal state a
soul and human body should have at the last breath of life. With this prayer one
can desire a favor from Lord Krishna to be present and provide complete
peace of mind & disease free body when the life comes to an end.
Itna to karna Swami, jab praan tan se nikle,
Govind naam le kar, tab praan tan se nikle…
Dear Swami
(Lord Krishna), I request you to please do me a favor, at the last moment of my
breath; I could utter the name of Govind (another name of Lord Krishna) and
that becomes an end to my life…
Shree Gangaji ka tat ho, ya Yamunaji ka vat
ho,
Mera Saanvra nikat ho, jab praan tan se nikle…
I should be
at either bank of the Ganga or Yamuna (sacred rivers of India) and I could see my
Dark Lord (Lord Krishna) close by me at the last moment of my breath…
Shree Vrindavan ka sthal ho, mere mukh me
tulsi dal ho,
Vishnu charan ka jal ho, jab praan tan se
nikle…
I could also
be at the Vrindavan and there should be a leaf of Basil and water of Lord
Vishnu’s (Lord Krishna) feet in my mouth, at the last moment of my breath…
Sanmukh Saanvra khada ho, bansi ka swar bhara
ho,
Tircha charan dhara ho, jab praan tan se
nikle…
I could see
my Dark Lord in front of me with his twisted state of legs and can hear the
sweet voice of his flute, at the last moment of my breath…
Sir sohana mukut ho, mukhde pe kaali lat ho,
Yehi dhyaan mere ghat ho, jab pran tan se
nikle…
Through my heart,
I could only focus on the Golden Crown (of Lord Krishna) and a black string of
hair on the face (of Lord Krishna); at the last moment of my breath…
Jab kanth praan aave, koi rog na satave,
Yam darshan na dikhave, jab praan tan se
nikle…
When my
last breath comes to my throat I should not suffer from any disease. And I
don’t want to see Yam (God of Hell) at the last moment of my breath…
Mera praan nikle mukh se, tera naam nikle
mukh se,
Bach jaaun ghor dukh se, jab praan tan se
nikle…
My last
breath should come out through my mouth and I should utter your name with it;
with this I could survive from terrible pain at the last moment for my breath…
Us vakt jaldi aana, nahi shyam bhul jaana,
Bansi ki dhun sunana, jab praan tan se nikle…
Dear Shyam
(another name of Lord Krishna) don’t forget to come early at the end (of my
life) and make me hear the sweet voice of your flute at the last moment of my
breath…
Yeh nek si araj he, maano to kya haraj hai,
Kuch aapka faraj hai, jab praan tan se nikle…
This is my
modest appeal to you and (according to me) it is not a big deal for you; and also
your responsibility (to come) at the last moment of my breath…
‘Vidhyanand’ ki yeh arji, khudgarj ki hai
garji,
Aage tumhari marzi, jab praan tan se nikle…
This is the
(utmost) request of ‘Brahmanand’ (the poet) and I’m saying this being a proud person,
but after all (you will do) as per your wish at the last moment of my breath…
Jai Shree
